After the loss of Marley, it wasn’t very long before we decided to get a new pet. We decided a puppy would fit the best with our family, but we were NOT cut out for the amount of work puppies are. Auggie was the last puppy I think we will ever get, and he taught us a lot about puppies and potty training.
What Makes DoggieLawn Different?
So what makes doggies lawn different from your normal puppy pads? Well, for one, I don’t have to replace this 10 times a day. It doesn’t stink, and it’s not ugly.
DoggieLawn is a subscription service, so you can set up how often you would like your grass to be delivered. In each grass delivery, you get gloves, poo bags, and instructions. I also received pheromone spray (we ended up not needing this).
When Auggie was a pup, he was already pad trained. Which ended up being the biggest disaster. I stand firmly against using pads to train dogs. It teaches them to pee on plastic on the floor, instead of on grass. They also are so wasteful and cannot be reused. Sometimes regular pads will also leak, and if you don’t get to them right away they stink! You can echo any of these complaints about “fake grass”. Those “Problem solvers” don’t solve anything.
DoggieLawn solves all of these problems. It’s natural, which means you aren’t creating more plastic in the landfill. Doggie Lawn can also be used for much longer than regular puppy pads.
DoggieLawn Fun Facts
REAL GRASS is easy to train dogs to use because it’s what they’re used to!
Did DoggieLawn Work?
It absolutely worked. Honestly, it worked better than even I thought it would. I thought that maybe there would be a “pee smell” but it just smells like grass. It also isn’t unsightly. I’ve even caught one of the cats using it to pee on (they are indoor/outdoor cats). I am not going to discourage them from using it even though it is marketed towards dogs.
Auggie had no problem using the DoggieLawn and worked wonders for when both my husband and I were working long hours at the same time.
Who Needs DoggieLawn?
DoggieLawn can be used by anyone, but I especially recommend it if you:
- are disabled and cannot easily take your pet out to potty.
- Live in a cold climate with lots of rain or snow. Some pets just don’t garner joy from going out in the snow.
- Have a puppy.
- Work Long Hours
- Live in an Apartment
If you fit one of these categories, give them a shot. They are cheaper than the competitors, and with each new subscription, they donate to animals in need. What a great organization!
