Brats are one of our most favorite things to make in the summertime on the grill. With the Johnsonville Sizzlin’ Sausage Grill, you don’t have to wait for summer anymore!
The Johnsonville Sizzlin’ Sausage Grill is perfect for people who live in cold climates (like me), people who are unable to get outside and grill, and people who live in apartments where grilling is frowned upon. If you love brats as much as my family does, you need to check this thing out!
When I first opened this up, I was wondering if this was going to be one of those appliances that just sat on my counter for weeks without being used. Let’s just say- its earned its counter space. We have used this twice in about two weeks. Obviously, this isn’t something I am going to use every day, but if you want a quick and easy meal, brats are a great go to dinner. You can even cook them on this grill and cut them up for pasta salads.
My Thoughts on the Sizzlin’ Sausage Grill
Set-Up was a breeze. It’s super simple to use. If you cook like I do and have multiple things cooking at once- this is perfect. You simply just place your sausages in the grill, close and lock the lid, and when the sausages reach the correct internal temperature the grill beeps and shuts itself off.
I really loved this, because I could concentrate on doing other things in the kitchen instead of constantly having to check and temp my sausages. The brats on the Sizzlin’ Sausage Grill turned out perfectly. They did not have burnt spots and were completely done all the way through. Definitely a win. The whole process only took about 10-15 minutes.
The best part about the Sizzlin’ Sausage Grill though was the cleanup. Instead of carefully having to try to wash the machine in the sink while trying not to completely submerge it in water- the plates just pop off! That way you can just take them off, clean them (Easily too I might add).
Conclusion
In my opinion, I think anyone who has difficulty grilling- either from weather or other restrictions- and love brats and sausages, this would be a great investment. The only thing I wasn’t super crazy about was that it only cooks five brats at a time. Which, now thinking about it, makes sense since they come five in a pack. I wish they had two different sizes of this grill, a five slot, and a ten slot- so you can cook for a larger amount of people at a time.
